2 Chronicles 7:13-16, 21-22
13 When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people,
14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land
15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.
16 For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.
21 “And as for this house, which is exalted, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and say, ‘Why has the LORD done thus to this land and this house?’
22 Then they will answer, ‘Because they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and embraced other gods, and worshiped them and served them; therefore He has brought all this calamity on them.’”
Ya so WOW these few verses were so nice :)i love how its really saying that if you don't seek after God even when He closes the heaven over you, calamity will sure come. So from this verse it really proves that God Himself said that He will close the heavens over us and let the devil bring brokenness, pain, hurt to the people at some point in their life. He Himself said it! but then He also said... that if during this time we would humble ourselves and PRAY and SEEK Him that He would definitely hear or cry and HEAL our land. or hearts. But then in verse 21 and 22, we can see that because the people FORSOOK God, they chose to give up on Him, give up on faith, give up on prayer and try to find comfort in all the wrong places, that He would definitely make life worse.
That.. was a really great word God, help me to hold on through the darkest hours, the most confusing hours, the most stressful hours, because i will always and always pray and seek after Your face :)February 2005 March 2005 April 2005 May 2005 June 2005 July 2005 August 2005 September 2005 October 2005 November 2005 December 2005 January 2006 October 2006 November 2006 January 2007 February 2007 March 2007 April 2007 May 2007 June 2007 July 2007 August 2007 September 2007 October 2007 November 2007 December 2007 January 2008 February 2008 March 2008 April 2008 May 2008 June 2008 July 2008 August 2008 September 2008 October 2008 November 2008 December 2008 January 2009 February 2009 March 2009 April 2009 May 2009 June 2009 July 2009 August 2009 July 2010
